Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs Dr. Philip Plan is expected to read the government's budget for fiscal year 2017/18 on the Thursday, June 15 this year.
That date is in accordance with the schedule of the Seventh Meeting of the Assembly which begins Tuesday (April 4) in the hall of the Parliament in Dodoma, which is a special meeting for the budget.
The schedule shows the first activity that the parliamentary elections of East African Legislative Assembly on Tuesday, and the Budget Office of the Prime Minister will be read on Thursday, April 6 and discussed for four days, followed by the President's budget (day 4) and the budget of the Office of the Vice President (Day 1) prior to the budget of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs on April 25.
In addition to the budget of the ministry, the meeting will also discuss and adopt a number of legislative bills, including Bill Amendment of Various Laws of the Year, 2017
