Mbarawa said highway projects will run from money from the road fund, of which Sh 16.3 bill has been allocated to conduct a feasibility study and detailed design 3624.8 kilometers.

"Projects of regional roads 33.9 billion shillings has been allocated from the road fund, the money will work for the rehabilitation of 688.3 km roads to gravel standard to build 40.6 kilometers of tarmac and 12 degrees," he said.

Barawa Minister said, a total amount of 573.1 million from the road fund will be used for the maintenance of highways, regional roads, bridges operating balance, the costs of management and operation of a road agent.
