KIMENUKA, LAKATAA ASSEMBLY OF NAMES OF CANDIDATES AND CUF CHADEMA


Parliament of the United Republic of Tanzania has rejected names CHADEMA and CUF candidates to contest the East African Assembly (EALA) after being diagnosed with limitations in their form.




The move came after the two candidates appear to have various shortcomings noted in their documents a selection being in violation of the provisions of Article 50 of the Convention on the Establishment of the East African Community, Article 67 of the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania and Section 4 ( 4) the Law on Elections of members of the East African Legislative Year 2011 enacted by the Parliament of East Africa.


The report said CHADEMA they take into account gender selection, but also have to attach the application forms of candidates, the list of applicants as well as the form of the results of the vote.


While CUF being sent nomination forms of candidates being presented to the authorities two different, two candidates do not have proof of their citizenship, form validation voluntary contest was not available for all candidates, the list of applicants does not exist for a single candidate, the form of the results of the vote for candidates did not exist with the form of attendance for one candidate kutotimia.


Due to these limitations Administrator of Elections Dr. Thomas D. Kashililah said he had failed to make such an appointment while urging corrective identified before at 7 afternoon, April 4 at his office in Dodoma.


On the other hand thanked all stakeholders, especially all the political parties in the country for the good cooperation they have given in the process in the selection process of candidates and the media in general.
