MP recommends Insurance for Beer Drinkers Kenya.

One MP in Kenya has submitted a bill to parliament to press companies that sell liquor to a small percentage of their profit sponsoring drinkers who will be affected by the alcohol.

MP Gideon Mwiti wants brewers deliver between 5 and 10 percent of the income they earn for insurance companies to compensate people who will be affected by alcohol or even accidents to be drunk according to the Daily Nation newspaper in the country.

The bill also proposes that if a person dies from the effects of alcohol, the alcohol company zilazimike compensate his family.

Mr Mwiti also has accused the company of failing to promote alcoholic liquor for non-hazardous to health, according to the report.
