President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Hon. Dkt. John Beer Magufuli today on April 4, 2017 has made minor changes in the ranks of Permanent Secretaries.
A statement issued by the Chief Secretary Ambassador John Kijazi states that Hon. Magufuli President has appointed Prof. Kitila Alexander Mkumbo Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation.
Prof. Kitila Alexander cycle replaces Engineer Mbogo Futakamba who has retired.
Before appointment Prof. Kitila Alexander cycle was a lecturer at the University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM).
Hon. The President has appointed Dr Magufuli. Leonard Akwilapo Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Before appointment, Dr. Leonard Akwilapo was Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
Following this appointment, who was Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology Bi. Maimuna Postman has transferred to the Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Office (Parliament).
Bi. Maimuna Postman takes the position left by Mussa Uledi whose appointment was impeached.
Hon. The President has appointed Dr Magufuli. Ave Maria Semakafu Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, where he filled the position vacated by Dr. Akwilapo Leonard, who was appointed Secretary General of the Ministry.
Before appointment, Dr. Ave Maria Semakafu was a lecturer at the University of Health and Allied Allied Science (MUHAS).
The elect will be sworn in the next day on April 5, 2017 at 3:00 State House in Dar es Salaam.
