Uhuru Torch Race in 2017 officially launched today in the field of Mpanda Urban Memory Katavi region and is expected to be around in all 31 provinces, going by the council 195 to 195 days.
At the inauguration ceremony, the leader of the race for this year has also officially announced, which will be Amad Amour Amour from Zanzibar North region of Zanzibar.
The Leader is assisted by five companions in the chase torch same which include Fortune Mwaniguta Lugodisha (Geita), Mrs. Fatima Yunus Hassan (South Pemba), Fredrick Joseph (Singida), Salome Obadiah Mwakitalima (Katavi) and Shukran Islam Sumi (Urban West) .
The motto of the event this year says "SHARE GROWTH OF INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT OF OUR COUNTRY '
The guest of honor at the launch was the second vice president of the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar Ambassador Seif Ali Idd on behalf of the government of President Dr. Ali Mohamed Shein, where in his message stressed the importance of all its citizens to put their energy into the nation-building industry
He said up to now since it does not enter the government in power for a second term is already manufacturing three vimekwishajengwa individuals in Zanzibar
Ambassador Seif said away from the theme of this year emphasizing the importance of the industry, the event also will zikieneza message about the struggle against the lira, AIDS, Drugs and corruption.
