President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. John Beer Magufuli has offered condolences following the death of former minister of Internal Affairs, George Kahama.

George Kahama Clement 'Sir George' (89) died Sunday at the National Hospital, Allied was being treated.
The son of the late Joseph Kahama has proved possible for the death of his father in Muhimbili National Hospital (MNH), Dar es Salaam where he was undergoing treatment.

The tragedy of Kahama not only is heavy for his family, but also to the nation due to its great contribution he gave to the country before and after independence. Kahama is a civil servant who was chief executive officer and politician who is nimble and attentive in operation from the time of independence Tanganyika 1950s until independence in 1961, and after independence until his retirement his service.
Kahama was born November 30, 1927 and is survived by a wife and 11 children.
