TANESCO Tanzania (TANESCO), claimed more than 4 billion shillings to the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) tax iliyokwama power generation plants in the TPA.
Speaking to reporters Acting Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly's Energy and Mines, Deo lifeboat, after a visit to the production of electricity of natural gas to Kinyerezi, Dar es Salaam, said that such equipment was imported in order to increase the production of electricity.
"TANESCO owes more than 4 billion shillings to the TRA, the debt comes from stuck with loads of generating electricity, including power plants and generators from abroad, which contributed to holding back the production of electricity," said lifeboat.
Moreover said many parts of the project that need to be placed plants that blocked out due to the debt, it will talk with the government to see how to solve this challenge.
